In 2016, Asda pledged to end the sale of eggs from caged hens in the UK by 2025; in 2023, 73% of its egg sales were cage-free.

In 2016, Lidl pledged to end the sale of eggs from caged hens in the UK by 2025; in 2024, 74% of its shell eggs and 73% of ingredient eggs were cage-free.

In 2016, Tesco pledged to end the sale of eggs from caged hens in the UK by 2025; in 2024, 93% of its shell eggs and 47% of ingredient eggs were cage-free.

In 2016, Morrisons pledged to end the sale of eggs from caged hens in the UK in 2025; in 2023, 100% of its shell eggs and 64% of ingredient eggs were cage-free.
